The Sargent Library needs your support, at all levels. For more information on how you can help, please see below.

Coming this Summer!
  • Accelerated Reader Program

Contact the library if you're interested in the Accelerated Reader program!

  • Sargent History Update
The 25th Anniversary of Sargent's Centennial Book is coming up, and we would like to update the Centennial Book with the happenings since the book was published. Bring your pictures and stories to the library so we can include them in the update!

    Accelerated Reader Program

Sargent Township Library will cooperate with the public school for Accelerated Reader summer reading points. Check out and read Accelerated Reader books at the township library and take AR tests at the township library during regular hours. The testing will begin Saturday, June 2.

    About the Sargent Library

The Sargent Library is tax-funded through Sargent Township and relies heavily on donations, contributions and on volunteer help. Your donations, contributions and volunteering are deeply appreciated and help make the Library the success that it is. Please come in to the Library to see what we are doing with your contributions, to see what we have, do some research, check out a cake pan, or find a nice quiet place to read.

    History of the Sargent Library

The current library building was donated in 1922, and rennovated about 3 years ago. During World War II, the assistant librarian moved into town, living upstairs when not working in the library, and going to Sargent High School. She would go home to visit on the weekends.

    Books For Sale
The Sargent Library has 2,000 to 3,000 books for sale, many of them first editions. New copies of the Sargent Centennial Book can be purchased for a suggested donation of $15.00 each. Please contact the Librarian.

    Donate to the Library!
The Sargent Library needs your support. We can use donations of books, money, computers, and most importantly, your time. Contact the Librarian for ways that you can help the Sargent Library.
